We strongly advise you to book your travel to India as soon as possible. Flights to India sell out, especially towards Christmas time. Some travel agents will tell you flights are already full - but persevere: what happens is that agents block-book tons of seats.

If you are coming from the US, some of the best routes are:
New York-Frankfurt- Bangalore (Lufthansa)
New York-Bombay-Bangalore (Air India)
New York-Washington-Seoul-Singapore-Bangalore (Korean Air)

For Europeans, there are direct flights from Frankfurt to Bangalore. If these are sold out, change at Delhi and Bombay.

Allow plenty of time to get your visa and any innoculations you may need.
